The Twisted Tavern Welcomes Executive Chef William Quas to the Kitchen
New “Mine” and “Ours” Menu Debuts this Winter

Ferndale, Mich. – The Twisted Tavern, a sophisticated, modern, 180-seat restaurant concept located in downtown Ferndale, has ordered Executive Chef William Quas to the kitchen to dish up some new concepts with big flavor this winter season.

Executive Chef William Quas is no stranger to the address that houses The Twisted Tavern nor is he a stranger to Owner Mark McConnell. Shortly after receiving his culinary certificate from the Macomb Culinary Institute, Chef Quas became the Chef and all things events and catering related at Boogie Fever for a few years. He then parted ways and spent the following six years working in locally-owned restaurants. Needless to say, the relationship stayed intact with Mark and The Twisted Tavern is delighted to have Chef Quas in the kitchen.

A new featured menu item is Chef Quas’ signature Shark Bites featuring lightly blackened and seared Mako shark finished with a cusabi sauce. A few additional items to highlight include: Asian tacos, short rib grilled cheese, shrimp pesto pasta, and more to come.

“It’s great to be working with Mark again. I am excited to be a part of this still relatively new adventure for him in the restaurant world and eager to help him take the food scene at The Twisted Tavern to the next level,” said Executive Chef Quas of The Twisted Tavern.

Appetizer items are intended to be a “mine” and “ours” concept of dining. Order the individual portion and keep it all to yourself. Go for the larger portion and be sure to share, which allows guests to snack on multiple items experiencing a variety of dishes.

“In my past 16 years here in Ferndale, it’s been a great place to own and operate a business, and I want to continue to see the city thrive, which is why I updated the space, provided a new restaurant for local residents and visitors to patronize, and created more jobs in the area,” said Owner Mark McConnell of The Twisted Tavern.

The Twisted Tavern welcomes large groups for leisurely work outings, celebrations, night-out-on-the-town parties, and more. The Twisted Tavern is outfitted with just enough high-definition 70+ inch TVs making The Twisted Tavern the ideal meeting place to catch your favorite sporting events. And don’t forget about happy hour! House wines, draft beers, and well drinks on special for $4.50. Select specialty drinks are also available during happy hour for between $5 and $8.

The Twisted Tavern features a soft-contemporary design and walls of sliding glass windows that display the beauty of Woodward Avenue and downtown Ferndale all year round. The Twisted Tavern’s menu offers patrons an opportunity to sample multiple dishes made from fresh, seasonal ingredients in a sleek and sophisticated atmosphere. The drink menu features a well-rounded wine list, seasonal cocktails, and draft beer.
